About Growth Focus
Growth Focus primarily facilitates the sale of Financial Planning and Accounting Practices Nationally. Established in 2002 we have facilitated well over 250 transactions both in Australia and the United Kingdom. The consulting arm works with Financial Planning and Accounting Practices in the areas of business valuation, succession planning, acquisition consulting, mergers, growth strategies and preparing a business for sale.
Steven Fine
Managing Director
Steven has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He completed his studies at the University of Rochester in New York State. Steven has a long history in Consulting and Business broking. Over the last 10 years he has built one of the most extensive databases of Accounting and Financial Planning contacts in the country. This allows us to give our clients the absolute best possible coverage when matching Vendors, Purchasers or Succession partners. Synergy between parties is the critical factor. Choice and coverage ensures our clients have access to the entire market and together with our extensive experience and rigid process, achieve the best possible outcomes.
Katrina Macphillamy
Client Service Associate
With a background in Management Consulting at KPMG plus numerous advisory and research management and HR advisory related roles both locally and overseas, Katrina brings to Growth Focus a wealth of experience in terms of succession planning, exit and acquisition strategies as well as company cultural considerations relating to mergers. Katrina has a Bachelor of Economics from University of Sydney plus a Diploma of Journalism from Macleay College.
Penny Fine
Client Services Associate
Penny has a dual role in managing the research component of Growth Focus’s campaigns and projects as well as client support. Her role is to manage information, ensuring it is easily retrievable and up to date and that the currency of contacts within our database allows all team members to assist to put the right people together at the right time.

Research Analyst
Ekta has a Batchelor of Commerce and has a brilliant skill set for producing high-quality research and documentation. Her core responsibility includes analysing data, process flows, gaps and providing proper data resources. In previous Ekta has worked as an intermediate consultant handling various financial activities and processes for various multinationals including Vodafone.
Wendy Nach
Office Manager
Wendy manages the back office operations of Growth Focus handling day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency and time management and a knack for streamlining administrative procedures. In her spare time she composes Children’s music.
